LEARNING
PSHCE
The Youth Commission appreciates the value of PSHCE lessons in school and strives to deliver sessions which ad value to your knowledge base.
Lessons cover topics such as:
LGBTQ+
OFFICE FOR DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITY (ODPA)
CHILD
SEXUAL
EXPLOITATION
STRENGTHEN PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIPS
We provide additional topical sessions to raise awareness about issues that young people may face growing up in the community; in a safe and supported environment. Our staff are very knowledgeable in these areas – so feel free to ask them any questions during the class or speak to them after to find out more about the support we can offer
YC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The programme is aimed at young people who are struggling to engage with their mainstream education
The YC Development Programme locally supports learners aged 14-19, providing them with the opportunity to grow their life skills, develop and understand their qualities as well as improve their employability skills. We work with local partners to deliver modules on subjects such as Healthy Eating to Fundraising. The YC Development Programme is underpinned by Duke of Edinburgh’s Silver Award.
